Our auditing and consulting services are aimed at determining how much energy may be saved at the client’s location.
Potential for energy savings may be determined thereafter by prioritization of actions according to savings (energy, water, and monetary), investments required, technical complexity, etc.
After this step, you will need to decide whether or not to move forward with the installation based on the estimated savings in energy costs.
How do our energy audit and advisory services work?
The first step is to collect information on the site’s energy usage and infrastructure, including a description of the location, an examination of recent energy bills (for electricity, gas, fuel-oil, etc.), and a breakdown of the primary energy transformation systems (heating, refrigeration, lighting, water, etc.).
The site’s energy model is then used to calculate the energy needs of the various building uses based on those ratios. Those things might be:
- Computation of key ratios (for any activity or weather parameter corrections): heating kWh/m2, lighting W/m2, and so forth.
- Analyzing results against standards
- Detailed consumption statistics by application.
Next, the data are analyzed after a focused measurement campaign has been undertaken to determine the true performance of the equipment and its modes of operation. As a result of this, it will be feasible to quantify real savings and develop improvement activities to be performed through simulation and analysis of the feasibility of specific areas for advancement and validation of the energy savings.
By establishing a baseline and scope, this audit will allow us to commit to energy efficiency improvements more confidently. Our audit and consultancy services will culminate in a binding offer about the planned energy savings and change roadmap.
